Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs)
The Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs) are new requirements designed to give social housing tenants greater access to information about how their landlord manages their homes and housing services.
From 1 October 2026, housing associations are required to proactively make certain information available to tenants through a Publication Scheme, covering areas such as governance and decision making, spending, housing stock management, performance, housing services, lists and registers, and social housing management.
The aim is to make it easier for tenants to find information that is important to them and to support greater openness, transparency and accountability.
We are currently preparing our STAIRs Publication Scheme and will be adding further information to this section of our website over the coming weeks, including links to information that is already available elsewhere on our website and additional information where appropriate.
We will also explain how you can find the information you need and what you can do if you believe information that should be available has not been published.
